Development Course and Future Development of Education in Ecological Civilization in Colleges and Universities

Abstract

Although China has made remarkable achievements in its rapid economic development since the reform and opening up, it has also paid a heavy price, such as water pollution, land desertification, forest destruction, smog weather, etc., which has seriously threatened people's lives and property safety and directly affected the national economy and people's livelihood. Since the 17th National Congress of the CPC, the strategic deployment of green development and building a beautiful China has been gradually started. The construction of ecological civilization calls for ecological civilization education, of which college students are the key targets. Therefore, in this paper, the issues such as the reasons for ecological civilization education, the methods to integrate ecological civilization into higher education, and the way to further develop education in ecological civilization were expounded. In this paper, focusing on the education in ecological civilization, a scientific understanding of the knowledge in the field of ecological civilization has been formed after collecting, studying and analyzing relevant information. Through qualitative analysis, the development process of education in ecological civilization in China has been processed and sorted out, and the future development path has been given by combining theory with practice. According to the current problems of ecological civilization education, the development path of ecological education is proposed to optimize the campus environment, enhance practical activities, and promote the education system, so as to play a leading role in the construction of ecological civilization in colleges and universities. Ecological civilization is a new civilization form in the development of human society and a key problem to be noticed in the new era. In the education in ecological civilization for all people, special attention should be paid to the education in ecological civilization for college students, as they are the most valuable human resources. Through the further integration of education in ecological civilization and higher education, the construction of social ecological civilization will be effectively promoted and the smooth realization of the goal of building a beautiful China will be promoted.
